Ben Campbell, ek brilliant aur ambitious student at M.I.T. in Boston, dreams of becoming a doctor by getting into Harvard Medical School. Lekin, his poor working-class background makes the $300,000 tuition seem like an impossible dream. Ek din, his unconventional math professor Micky Rosa introduces Ben to a secret club of five students – Jill, Choi, Kianna, and Fisher – who are being trained in the art of card counting at blackjack. Ben, intrigued by the prospect of making quick money, joins the group on their covert weekend trips to Las Vegas. Using their skills of code talk and hand signals, they clean up at the casinos, with Ben raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars. Initially, Ben’s goal is to earn just enough for his Harvard tuition and then quit. Lekin, as predicted by his fellow card counter Jill Taylor, greed and arrogance get the better of Ben. His reckless behavior puts the entire group, including Professor Rosa, on the radar of Cole Williams, a ruthless casino security enforcer who holds a personal vendetta against Rosa.
