Housefull 5 (2025) Film Short Story :

Ranjeet Dobriyal, a powerful business tycoon, is celebrating his 100th birthday aboard a luxurious cruise ship when tragedy strikes — he suffers a fatal heart attack, leaving his son Dev and the onboard staff in shock. To avoid a potential crash in the company’s stock value, his death is kept under wraps. Soon after, Dobriyal’s lawyer reads out the will, revealing that his entire fortune will go to Jolly — his estranged son from his first wife.

However, chaos ensues when not one but three men — Jalabuddin, Jalbushan, and Julius — arrive on the ship, each claiming to be Jolly, accompanied by their respective wives. Dev proposes a DNA test to settle the dispute once and for all, with results due the next morning. As everyone from Dobriyal’s guest list enjoys a wild night of celebration, they awaken the next day with no memory of what transpired.

Things take a darker turn when the doctor responsible for the DNA test is found brutally murdered. Suspicion immediately falls on the three supposed Jollys and their wives, as the test results could expose the imposter. Dev and his staff confine the six suspects in the ship’s detention area, awaiting Interpol’s arrival. Meanwhile, two suspended cops, Baba and Bhiddu, board the cruise determined to solve the murder mystery — partly to reclaim their lost reputation. But as the investigation unfolds, the case only grows murkier, leading to a string of shocking twists and fresh murders on the high seas.
