When a kid named Pannu finds a lantern in a cave, he opens it when he gets home and it releases the King of all Genies named Karkimuki. The genie helps the little boy with his problems of everyday life.
Good Fantasy Drama for Kids. Style of the film close to the real life that should connect with all the kids. Ashwanth rocked on his acting both in comedy as well as in emotional scenes. Liked to see the New dimension of Prabhu Deva Sir, where he shined well as Boodham by doing fun and exhibiting emotions. The other artists did a good job. D. The film received support from Imman Music. ‘Master Oh my Master’ good dance number.
My Dear Bootham (2022) Full Movie Review:
I watched My Dear Bootham recently. Bhai, what a sweet family film! It’s about this young boy Thirunavukkarasu (played by Master Ashwanth) who has stammering problem and gets bullied in school. Poor fellow, you really feel for him! first watch trailer Here.
Story becomes interesting when he accidentally releases genie called Karkimuki (Prabhu Deva) from old statue. Prabhu Deva is full-on energy in this role – dancing, joking, doing magic – perfect casting for genie character!
The friendship between boy and genie is heart-touching. Karkimuki doesn’t just solve all problems with magic but teaches the boy confidence. Master Ashwanth acted really well for such young actor – you believe his struggles.
Visual effects are colorful but honestly not Hollywood level. Some parts look bit outdated, but children don’t mind these things. The message about accepting people with differences comes through nicely without being too preachy.
Songs are catchy and Prabhu Deva’s dance moves are amazing as always! Not surprising since he’s dance legend.
Nothing groundbreaking about story – we’ve seen magical friend helps troubled kid before – but still works because of good performances and emotional moments. Perfect timepass for family with small children!
