In the bustling bylanes of Seoul, there’s a private detective named Hong Gil-dong who’s been carrying a heavy burden since childhood. You see, he saw his mother get brutally murdered right in front of his eyes when he was just a little boy. Ever since then, he’s been on a mission to find the killer and serve him some good old-fashioned revenge. After years of digging around, Hong finally gets a lead – the murderer’s name is Kim. But when he reaches Kim’s house, he’s in for a surprise. Instead of finding the old man, he meets his grandkids who tell him that their grandpa has been kidnapped by some nasty goons. Now, Hong is not one to back down from a challenge. With the help of the brave grandkids, he sets out to track down the kidnappers. But as he gets closer to the truth, he realizes that this is no ordinary case. There’s a bigger fish at play here – the leader of a notorious cult with a dark and bloody secret. Hong knows he can’t let this slide. It’s time to face the mastermind head-on and put an end to this once and for all.
