In the bustling city of Boston, a crooked cop named Nick had a secret stash of gold he’d nicked from some shady drug dealers, hidden away in his backyard with his partner in crime, Hayes. But the next morning, Nick had a change of heart and told Hayes he was gonna hand over the evidence to the cops, ’cause he couldn’t bear to look his wife Julia in the eye and keep living a lie. Little did he know, his decision would lead to a deadly encounter with Hayes during a raid on a notorious gang. As Nick drew his last breath, he found himself in a tunnel, where the Proctor, impressed by his cop skills, offered him a job in the afterlife. Nick joined the Rest in Peace Department, working alongside the old-school agent Roy to protect the living from the undead.
