After the British packed their bags and left, our so-called netas (leaders) decided to wear the British shoes and walk the same path. The aam aadmi who thought freedom meant roti kapda makaan now found himself in the same old mess, just with different faces in charge. The zamindars and babus continued their exploitation game, dividing people to rule them better. It was like changing the wrapping paper while keeping the same bitter chocolate inside. The poor kept struggling while the rich enjoyed life, proving that some things never change in our beloved country.
