Raid 2 Story & Plot
In the sun-baked deserts of 1989 Rajasthan, a bold IPS officer named Patnaik dared to challenge the mighty palace lords. With his trusty team, he stormed the grand haveli, but alas! The wily aristocrats had already hidden their ill-gotten treasures. Frustrated, Patnaik’s superiors transferred him to the sleepy town of Bhoj, hoping to silence his righteous fury.
But our intrepid hero wouldn’t be cowed so easily! In Bhoj, Patnaik set his sights on the town’s beloved patriarch, Dada Bhai. On the surface, Dada Bhai was a pillar of the community – a generous philanthropist and respected elder. Yet Patnaik sensed a rotten core beneath the saintly facade.
With dogged determination, Patnaik gathered evidence of Dada Bhai’s nefarious deeds. But when he finally led a raid on the old man’s sprawling estate, he came up empty-handed once again. His enemies rejoiced, and Patnaik found himself suspended from duty, his reputation in tatters.
Yet even in disgrace, Patnaik refused to surrender. Like a bloodhound on the scent, he continued to dig deeper, and slowly, the awful truth began to emerge from the shadows.

“Ajay Devgn is back as the honest taxman in Raid 2, but this time the story takes a different route. Set in 1989 Rajasthan, the film starts with a failed palace raid that leads to unexpected twists. Patnaik’s transfer to Bhoj introduces him to Dada Bhai, a respected figure with hidden secrets. The first half builds tension nicely, but the second half drags a bit with predictable turns. Ajay Devgn delivers a solid performance, as usual, while Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor add depth to their roles. Director Raj Kumar Gupta tries to balance drama and suspense, but the pacing could have been tighter. The climax, though impactful, feels a bit rushed. Overall, Raid 2 is a decent watch for fans of crime thrillers, but it doesn’t quite match the intensity of the first film. A one-time watch, if you’re in the mood for some desi drama.”
